I took out 3 Payday Loans and cannot pay back, what are my options?
Question by Russell Mania: I took out 3 Payday Loans and cannot pay back, what are my options?
I cannot afford to pay my Payday Loans on time, should I close my bank account until I can pay everyone off. They all have electronic debit to my account, so if I close, I don’t have to pay overdraft fees and etc. What should I do.

Obviously if you have the money in your account you CAN pay them back, you just maybe cant pay something else.
I never understood this business model but I would bet they are pretty aggressive with collection.

Should I take out a line of credit to buy a home or do a cash back mortgage?
Question by Mr.C: Should I take out a line of credit to buy a home or do a cash back mortgage?
I’m already pre-approved for the purchase of a home. I’m not sure which way is better – to use a line of credit to pay for my down payment OR take out a cash back mortgage. Making payments is not an issue. My debt ratio with a 0000.00 mortgage is only at 27%. Ability to have down payment was severely hindered by a recent divorce.

Answer by My Take on It
If you use a line of credit as your down payment, you can kiss your mortgage approval goodbye.
You aren’t supposed to *borrow* money for your down payment..You either have to have that money saved up or gifted to you.

Q&A: What haunted house in the Nashville Area offers your money back if you make it through the whole thing?
Question by a a: What haunted house in the Nashville Area offers your money back if you make it through the whole thing?
I recently heard on the radio, that some house in or near Nashville offers a full refund if you can make it through the entire thing without leaving through the emergency exits. I couldn’t recall the name of it, and I googled around and couldn’t find it. I would appreciate it if someone knows what haunted house, or houses, offer a refund if you make it all the way through.

Find out if your debts were sold to a collection agency, if so they usually bought it from the creditor for 10 Cents on the dollar. If you have the ability to do so , paying in full will drastically lower the ammount you have to pay. Be persistant. The extra money they get from you is thier BONUS.
If not then you will have to contact them to make payment arangements. Also take a look at your credit report, see which agencies are reporting for each loan.
Also you may be able to secure a small loan or do a debt consildation to pay off those old bills…
The credit card bills… if they are old old.. depending on the last time they submitted you to the crediting agencies( this info is on your credit rep) you may not want to even touch it right now… openeing something that noone has been keeping up with will actually harm your score.
Finally keep this in mind while trying to build your credit..
It is impotant to remember that your FICO is made up of a percantage of things
35% = Making ONTIME payments, even if it is the MINNIUM!
Mail it in a week early!
30%= debt ( monies charged, loans..) VS. What amount of credit is actually available to you. The smaller debt and bigger credit is what you are aiming for.
15%= Length of credit history. Having accounts open years ago, actually helps sometimes. Unpaid ones could potentially help also, it is establishing how long you have been around , getting credit. Shows them you have a history. So dont go cancelling older cards… that would erase some of your history , actually damaging your score.
10% = New accounts and inquires on your credit.
Obviously more inquiries lowers your score.
10% A good mix or balance on the types of loans and credit you have. ( RE: Home , car, credit, departmant store)

Yes… you’ll still pass… credit it not part of a background check. They have to specifically ask your permission to preform a credit check.

Are internet loan companies a good way to refinance a home loan to get cash back at a low interest?
Question by Kate: Are internet loan companies a good way to refinance a home loan to get cash back at a low interest?
Best answer:
Answer by Melissa V
You may actually find it easier to refinance online because you can get several quotes quickly and without having to go for appointments at a brick and mortar mortgage company. That isn’t to say that online loaners don’t also have a building somewhere. I believe you can refinance online with Lending Tree and a few other companies.
Here’s an article you might find helpful if you’re considering going through an internet loan company. http://www.ehow.com/how_4858330_refinance-online.html

The best online school to get the most cash back for living expenses etc. from student loans?
Question by Boo: The best online school to get the most cash back for living expenses etc. from student loans?
I have attended Everest University online for 2 years. However I am considering switching schools. I am wondering if anyone knows which one would be the best to get the most money from student loans for my living expenses.
any ideas on how to get most $$$$$?
Thanks
Best answer:
Answer by spalmer
Find the school with the cheapest tuition rates, but that also gives a generous allowance for living expenses. Generally, online schools don’t include a lot for living expenses because most indivuals take online classes so that they can go to school around their jobs… which means they don’t need a lot for living expenses. The lower the tuition, the higher the refund will be.

what happens if you can’t pay back one of those pay day loans? Do they put you in the slammer?
Question by OBrien J: what happens if you can’t pay back one of those pay day loans? Do they put you in the slammer?
Best answer:
Answer by Ed F
Try to extend the loan by paying the interest owed.
If not, they will cash the check, then contact you should it bounce.
Maybe by then you will have obtained the necessary funds.
Since the payday loan accepts checks that do not have funds available, it is not likely they can charge you with writting a bad check, as that was the expectation, so they have little legal recourse except sending it to a collection agency.

Can I get cash back on purchases in Italy?
Question by ccarp816: Can I get cash back on purchases in Italy?
Do stores in Italy use debit/check cards (where you would enter a pin at the time of the transaction)? If so, do they allow you to receive cash back?
Thank you for your answers so far. Are there ATMs that don’t charge for your transactions? Do you know how much Bank of America charges? Do you know how much you can withdraw from ATMs?
Best answer:
Answer by StephieBee
When I was in Italy this summer I used my bank of america card and I don’t remember ever being offered the cash back option. There are many ATMs around so definitely make use of them. And be sure to notify your bank that you will be out of the country otherwise they will freeze your account!!! Also make sure you know the number to contact your bank when you are in Italy in case anything happens. I was stuck when I was there because BOA froze my account and I had no number to contact them with. If you are prepared everything will go smoothly

Q&A: Do banks get charged when people take cash back out at retailers?
Question by Sam J: Do banks get charged when people take cash back out at retailers?
For instance, if I use my Bank of America card at CVS and get 20 dollars cash back, does Bank of America get charged anything from CVS?
Best answer:
Answer by Judy
Depends if you are using a debit card or a credit card.
With a credit card, a retailer pays anywhere from 1% to 3% (if a small company) to the bank for processing.
With the debit card the fee that is paid to the bank from the retailer is about half.
That is included in the total charges – so yes, CVS gets penalized.
Keep in mind that credit/ debit will always be prefferred by retailers.
Credit cards, even if stolen will give the retailer the money – same with debit cards.
With cash or checks – retialers face a number of fraud concerns.
Checks sometimes bounce, and cash in many cases can be fake.
If I were a retailer, I would not even consider taking cash or checks – too much danger.

What does the term “Cash back” actually mean when buying a car?
Question by LJ: What does the term “Cash back” actually mean when buying a car?
Do you actually get cash back, or does that only apply when getting a loan, does it come off the price of the car? What does it actualy mean by; for example: 0 cash back. How does this work?
Best answer:
Answer by Howard L
You don’t get any cash back. It’s a reduction in the price of the car. It’s treated as if it was money you paid as a down payment. It’s done that way so when the sales contract is written it shows the “full” price of the car. It looks better than showing they sold you the car cheaply, and you also pay tax on the full price.
