What is wrong with my weight and balance for flying?
Question by jflyer_89: What is wrong with my weight and balance for flying?
Not long ago I took my dad flying, and we were in a cessna 152. I weigh 230, and my dad weighs 240. Well when we went flying, everything was ok with the weight, the airplane flew beautifully. but i am doing the weight and balance and for the 150, and it says that the plane is137 pounds over weight. So what is wrong, b/c the 150, and 152 are pretty much the same thing.

Everything I can find shows the 150 with a larger payload than a 152. In either one, the two of you will put it overweight with full fuel.

It says my available credit is .00 (credit limit 0.00) and current balance 0.00. Does that mean I have no money or 330.00? Can I use my credit card at all at this point?

You owe 0.00 and are over your credit limit so have no available credit. You cannot use your credit card.

Has anyone here settled their Discover or other credit card debt for less than full balance?
Question by kelly: Has anyone here settled their Discover or other credit card debt for less than full balance?
I have a Discover card with ,500 balance. It’s been in “collections” for 4 years and has also gone to court where some kinda judgement was entered (I didn’t show up for that so not sure). On my credit report it now shows as “profit & loss”.
I’ve been really scared of talking to them bc I’m soooooo embarassed. < !> Yes I know I should have known better but I didn’t.
My mortgage banker told me to call Discover Card and try to “settle” with them for 1/3 or 1/2 the debt amount. He says since it’s been a “bad debt” for soooo long they will probly be happy to get any money to settle it.
Has anyone done this themselves??? If so, what were the magic words you used? I heard it can be very difficult and take a long time (months)??? Is that true? I have to get this cleared up within the next 30-60 days so I can get my mortgage started.
Please help!!!
THANKS in ADVANCE!!!

Answer by sha_rae_2002
Yes. the banker is right you can settle for less than you owe. Just tell them you don’t have the 3500 dollars. They will ask you if you have any of it, you say a little, they say how much. You name your price. Be prepared to pay what you say you can pay and haggle a bit. They will act like you owe them but really when it comes to credit card debt after a bit of time the credit companies see it as a loss, write it off as the cost of doing business and sell the debt to debt collection people like Profit and Loss or AR collections. Just ask them to work with you and take this as a lesson learned.

On Credit Report: What does “Recent Balance” really mean?
Question by TommyJ: On Credit Report: What does “Recent Balance” really mean?
On my Experian credit report, under my Bank of America Visa credit card account, it says:
Recent Balance: 9 as of 08/2009
Does this figure mean that I have 9 that I have missed payment due dates for (DEBT)? OR is it referring to what my CURRENT balance on my credit card is (that I have not paid off yet because it isn’t due until a week later from today)?
I ask this, because when I log in to my online banking account, the balance is not 9, it is . Honestly, I do not know where they got the number of 9 because even my past monthly statements never had that exact number of 9.
And when I looked at my credit report off Credit Karma, it lists 9 as my “TOTAL DEBT”. I’m starting to think it is a mistake I should fix because I have paid all of my credit card bills in full and on-time every month.
Can anyone clarify what this really means? Thanks.
P.S. I have no debt; I have always paid in full and on time for my credit card bills every month.
Oh, also, I have never carried a balance on my credit card past the due date (I paid on time). So why the 9?

It is updated once every 30 days. It will not be accurate according to your most recent credit card statement. If you keep a balance for the next couple months, then it would have caught up to match .

Can someone recommend a good credit card for someone who never carries a balance?
Question by drew2718281: Can someone recommend a good credit card for someone who never carries a balance?
I am looking for a new credit card and I don’t know where to start. I never carry a balance, so the interest rates don’t matter to me. I would like the card with the best perks. Also, I don’t want a “no preset limit card” since I hear they are bad for your credit score. Any advice?

We like the AAA card. They give 5% discount on gas – that is big money at todays gas prices. Bank of America just bout the rights to the card but think you can still get it.
