I owe 00 to a credit card and now they are suing me in small claims court for the full amount. I lost my job and havn’t worked in over 5 months… What can they do? or what can I do?? Any help will be appreciated.
Since when they can garnish wages or put liens on property if its unsecured credit?? Credit cards are unsecured credit.

They may garnish 25% of your take home.
Some states may be as little as a 10% or 5% maximum.
They will sue you each year to see if you have a job yet.
I remember getting my car wrecked by an uninsured driver. I had to file each year to see if he had a job yet.

I applied for a credit card that was supposed to be for people with bad or no credit. And I was approved for the card but it has an annual fee of which is a bit outrageous. I’m new to the credit world and I haven’t had to card for even a year yet but I want to pay it off and cancel it before they charge me another dollars just for having the account open. Is that safe to do without completely screwing up my credit? I have other credit card accounts open that I plan to keep which I pay on time for all of them but I want to get rid of the one with the annual fee.

Pay it off and cancel it. It wont affect your credit score negatively.
Credit Cards cause more damage than they do good.

I had planned to just use Paypal, but there will be some orders over the phone, so I really do need a merchant account.
Paypal requires an “application”, so I’m thinking credit is a factor.

Even that will work with Paypal for an extra . charge per month.
